Maggots on duck

I'd think if you make up a salt solution and put your duck into it any maggots are going to start falling off.
I use Epsom salt. But I'd think table salt would work fine too.

I’m late to this thread and haven’t read through it. Have screwworms been discussed? They used to be present in the deep south. A kind of fly whose maggots eat healthy flesh instead of dead flesh. My grandfather recalled watching screwworms eat a calf alive like piranhas in a relatively short amount of time. They were erradicated in the 1950s but recently appeared in Florida Key deer.

It’s an older thread, the original poster seems to have left the forum after this thread.
The revived question was just asking about the kind of salt.

Old threads do provide great information sometimes, but I’d say the original issue is long resolved. Interesting info about screwworms though.
