MAGGOTS ON MAYMAY Need help ASAP

Looks like she ruptured an air sac which ended up forming a fistulous tract along her anal/vent area.

In a veterinary situation she would be masked down via isoflourane and the area would be carefully debrided down to healthy tissue. On the other hand, you can lay her on her side, cover her head with a towel, and clean the area on a daily basis. Make sure she is completely dry before releasing her.

How is she doing today? She's a snazzy looking gal with her crooked comb. I like your first aid box, too!

This was from Fly strike. That's exactly what I did. Washed area twice a day with Dawn antibacterial, used neosporine and SWAT for the flys hit her up with Tylan50 for 4 days and spoiled the crud out of her. That was last week.

She is 100%%%%%% as of today! Full recovery. wow, never thought we'd make it through that one.

Yea, that's my first aid 'box' alright. Seems like it keeps growing as well.

as it is when your back is to the wall, you find out you CAN DO things - you get strength from inside . The impossible becomes possible whether it's kids, family, pets, when you have to, you will.
