~Magpie club~

We had Magpie babies about 3.5 weeks ago. Mom is so protective of them. She nested under our huge blue spruce tree so we fenced it off to keep our 3 male blue swedish ducks away. The 2 other magpie ducks lay on the outside of the fence talking and looking in almost all day. We just got these Magpie Ducks about 5 weeks before babies arrived so my boys aren't very friendly with them.
Question... How long should we keep mom and babies fenced in And away from the adult ducks?

At least 3 weeks if you have more than one drake. they sure are adorable.

We have 5 drakes some how! Babies are 3.5 weeks now. Here is a picture from this morning. I just worry about them getting lost from mama or the drakes getting them.
