Boy, am I frustrated trying to figure out what these ducks are.
I thought they were crested Blue Swedish but now that my son bought a trio of actual Swedish from an FFA member, and I can see there the Blue Swedes are bigger and don't have nearly as much white, I can't figure it out.
I was told Swedish can come in black and blue and be bibbed or splashed. But one of the crested ducks is brown/white. Could this be the dun/white coloring that Magpies can come in?
Take a look and let me know your thoughts. I'd really appreciate it since they're actually producing ducklings with pretty big crests. My kids might want to show them at Fair. I'd just have to know WHAT they are first.
Oh, and note the leg coloring on these birds. Bright orange on the drake and dark gray on the other. These birds are a few pounds lighter than the Blue Swedes.
Thanks.
