Oh no, I ave my priorities WELL worked out! Got given a free Easter egg when I was in my local store today as I spent a small fortune (again) and do you think it will last until Easter? Not a chance in h*ll.

My spare euros go on chicken-related bits and pieces, you know, more birds, timber and wire fencing, more srews, etc etc, or the sweet Malayan treat known as CHOCOLATE. All I need to do to reach nirvana is figure out ow to make edible choclate hens that still lay eggs, oh yeah!

Apparently my hens / duck only go broody in February when the high temps are in the teens.

. I want them to raise the chicks so have been trying to get them broody by giving them golf balls... only collecting eggs late at night.... made sure there's no drafts in the nest boxes.

my incubator is going whacko so I'm hoping to let broodies do all the work and give the eggs a better chance. Incubator worked like a charm the other two times and was fine for two days before I put eggs in it. Your hens need to give my hens the sit sown virus.

I believe there is still some setting to do.

The button quail should set Thursday 4-7.

How many of the 53 that have not reported yet are setting quail.

So the number of eggs set could still go up.

Just wondering.

BTW: How come we dont have a bunny / chick count down for the hatch.

I just realized that my hands will be sore by the time we get to that last bunny. My DD says I look silly sitting on my hands all the time.

Well maybe they won't be to sore I have three hatches coming off before then.
