He came highly recommended, but he is 69. Is that horrible of me to worry cuz he's older? He probably has more experience than younger docs, but I wonder if he's truly up to date and hi-tech with the arthroscopic surgery.

Hopefully, like me he continues to do regular classes and keeps up to date with the latest technologies.

I just started using a new bonding agent that is phenomenal. Wish I'd have had it 20 years ago.

Why not ask him?? You wouldn't be offended if one of your patients asked you that question, would you?

I woke up this morning with 15 eggs in the incubator. I am going to bed tonight with 48 eggs in two incubators! Shortly after sunrise this morning I read CherylChoen's update to her problem with the city. She had 25 Mille Fleur Leghorns in the incubator and needed someone to take them. OMG I have been trying to breed something, anything Mille Fleur for so long! I was a little worried because she specifically asked for a responsible, passionate person to take over this wonderful project. That is when it got scary. But I shot out a PM to her in record time and, bless her soul, I was chosen! I made the 200 mile round trip down to get them. I took my incubator and a heating pad that works off of the cigarette lighter to keep them warm on the ride home. She emptied her incubator into mine, including 8 Coronation sussex eggs with the 25 leghorns. They are on day except for 2 Coronation Sussex eggs that were just added. They are all developing! I hope they did ok on the trip home. They are all settled in my two Brinseas as I type this. I am so proud and honored to have the Leghorns. I am going to really be a breeder now! My beloved Icelandics I don't consider myself a breeder of per se. They do their own thing! This is really exciting for me. I am not counting them as part of my Easter hatch because they are four days ahead but just had to share!
