Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I only played a few rounds of "move the broody" today before getting tired of the attitude and persistence of those two.

Last January boyfriend made me a very nice box for the coop that housed GLW and her 3 chicks when they first hatched in January. Then after they moved out the NYD chicks moved in for a few days of safe meet and greet with the rest of the coop crew. After that the rooster spent a day in jail there. Then the Trader Joes Rooster Mishap kids moved in for 3 days. Now its holding two angry broodies. And hopefully on Monday it will hold Evil Broody Banty and her chicks.

That box has certainly earned its keep.

Lets hope the box breaks two broodies in the next few days. They were banding together trying to break out. It was probably evil of me to leave it right in front of the nesting boxes, but you know, it fits great there. Both broodies were climbing the wire walls not unlike a parrot in a cage.

I'm allergic to aspirin and ibuprophen... he wanted me on 800mg Ibuprophen.
Gave me a scrip for Ultram... do you think it's any good.

He came highly recommended, but he is 69. Is that horrible of me to worry cuz he's older? He probably has more experience than younger docs, but I wonder if he's truly up to date and hi-tech with the arthroscopic surgery.

Hopefully, like me he continues to do regular classes and keeps up to date with the latest technologies.

I just started using a new bonding agent that is phenomenal. Wish I'd have had it 20 years ago.

Ah Mahonri... You've hit the "experience versus innovation" problem.

You need an older doc that has a few younger minions. One who LIKES his minions.

Let me see if I can find that section in the phone book

Are you planning on getting a second opinion?

Did he tell you to take around the clock NSAIDS (naproxen or ibuprofen - if not contraindicated of course)?

What she said. I absolutely want to stress that you need a second and third opinion. Preferably docs of all different ages.

Do it. Don't blow it off.
