I candled tonight, because I'm impatient like that. I pulled 11 eggs from the bator. 9 of my cochin eggs were infertile. Oddly enough I have 2 girls in the pen, they lay different colored eggs. One darker than the other. One girl is clearly fertile and the other is not. Clearly my frizzle cochin roo Elvis is not spreading the love! I also pulled 2 buff laced polish eggs. But my Ameraucanas and WCB Polish are developing at 100%!

Couldn't wait.

I candled about half of the eggs.

I went from 102 to 89.

PO was rough on the eggs from MO and IL.

I'll candle the remainder on Monday. Not looking good.

Bright note. most of The Warden's eggs are still in there.

I'll get an exact count of what I have left on Monday. Still haven't candled most of the TX eggs.

Ok...I just candled ALL of my eggs (except the 14 that I candled when I set these)...I am going to scream

One of the turners was UNPLUGGED!!!!!

I don't know how or why, the plug-in is almost completely inaccessible...but sho' nuff...it was sitting there where it was supposed to be, but it was pulled out just enough that the turner was off. I lost ALL of my Serama eggs, and several others for sure, maybe that whole bator. I didn't see any movement in any of the other eggs either...we shall see, 26 eggs went into lockdown anyway.

As far as my Easter hatch goes (in the other bator) I tossed 15 that were clear and 2 that had blood rings. So, I still have 31 going for this hatch. There needs to be a pouting smiley...

I candled a few tonight and could of cried. My most important (to me) dominique eggs are completely scrambled.

Why do you all candle so soon? 7 days is my earliest I will even think about it but usually I candle once between day 14 and 18 and thats it.
