WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Brinseas are awesome. If someone has a problem with it, it is THAT bator only. I can guarantee you that. In my boo, the best bators are Brinsea, R-Com and hovabator. In that order.

They hold temp fine. Humidity is the issue, and it is NOT just the ONE bator. I have 2 of them, and have tried them both. If you go to the expense of adding a humidity pump I believe they would be fine, but that is what I was trying to avoid and I bought the ECO. I do NOT recommend the ECO at all. I love the HovaBator Genesis. I have no problems at all with that thing, and it is much roomier as well. Now I just use the ECOs as a recovery room. Sad....

This is the first negative feedback I have ever heard from that bator.

It is a HEN/PULLET Stink Eye Contest......Hurley said the roos have the crowing contest and the chicks have the cutest and first, so teen or grown ups only!

Okalie dokalie-

So it DID freeze last night, so I am very glad I covered all the plants.

When I went to uncover all the garden plants, the stoopid broody dove in the garden flittered away, and I got to see its new chick! The little thing must be braaaaand new, because it hadn't even fluffed out yet. There had been two eggs, but since it was still cold out, I didn't investigate any further. I wanted the momma to come back and warm poor baby up.

Here is the ode to the stoopid broody I wrote last week :

I will get a pic once the sun starts warming that portion of the garden.

When we first moved here I bought my grand daughter a goat and was just telling someone I didn't know what I was going to do about explaining to my husband. I turned and his face was about 3 feet right in front of me. I got the "Tell me you didn't" and a not to happy look. Took 2 hours before we talked about it. Then when someone stole the goat, he went back to get her one. Didn't feel well so went home and told me to go get her one. I was just bidding and got a call to forget the goat. Said he didn't know what he was thinking.

The "Caption That Photo" contest is over... There was some very stiff competition but GreenGoddess has won with:

I was also very surprised that no one submitted the following caption, so I'll submit it myself, post-contest:

Congratulations, GreenGoddess!

I hate that dumb incubator, too! I can NOT get it to hold humidity not matter how I try. I wish I could offer some advice. I am no help at all.

I've heard of people putting the incubator in the bathroom and running a hot shower every few hours.

Well I candled again and its not a total loss. None of my 7 silkie eggs developed except for one and it has a blood ring. I pulled 2 of 10 shamo eggs for blood ring. And the rest are debatable except one is clearly developing. Soooo...theres hope! Even if I do get one. This one egg is being watched very closely.
