Don't tell me that! DH has said 'No' to quail so I've been telling myself I need to wait till I get the rails at least.

I'm so naughty, I already showed him a pic of the eggs and said 'I like these eggs, I want to get some, do you like these eggs too?' He said they are nice though I neglected to mention the pretty eggs aren't laid by some kind of chicken!

Poor guy is confused by all the eggs I keep showing him... blue, green, chocolate, pink, terracotta, white, speckled, spotted... and quail camo eggies!

Um....I posted an auction today for quail rails for the gqf turner....

I hatched a batch of buttons out of my 1588 Hova-Bator, the Quail racks were really nice!! No more hand turning!

I've had great hatch rates hand turning the eggs too...

Haha, you probably should wait, I find it easier to hatch them in warmer weather, I had the power go out for around two hours a few days before they were due to hatch, but 11/15 hatched ( R.I.P. Isabelle ). So 10/15 still isn't bad. All the eggs were from my young girls so I was really pleased! I have buttons, not Coturnix though. I want to get some ... sometime. Just don't have anymore room! I hardly have room for the ones in the brooder! lol

You can eat them, it would take alot but we have boiled, scrambled, fryed them!! They're mostly just for pleasure, I have around 30 and just love them to peices! I don't want to hijack this thread, so I'll send you a PM.

Hey now! I didn't tell you NO! I said I wasn't sure if I'd have enough! I wanna play too! Can I be in vicariously if everyone else takes all my eggs??????

If you can ship me some for the Easter hatch, I'll take 'em, but have no fear, I'll take Lavender Ameraucana (LF) eggs for a different hatch and smile.
Those and my Iowa Blues are the highlights of my plans for this spring.

Won't have Iowa Blues to incubate for Easter (pretty unlikely), but will be getting chicks hopefully April 5th!
