EDIT: Ok, I looked and I can't find it. Your auctioning them on here I assume?

Yeah, it's under "everything else for sale"...yep, I'll ship them to Australia! (Don't know if the $6 shipping will cover that though! LOL)

And yes, I wear my "enabler" badge with pride!

Sounds like you might need to increase the size of your flock...

John doesn't need anyone telling him that...he's slowly succumbing to chicken math like the rest of us!

Haha, you probably should wait, I find it easier to hatch them in warmer weather, I had the power go out for around two hours a few days before they were due to hatch, but 11/15 hatched ( R.I.P. Isabelle ). So 10/15 still isn't bad. All the eggs were from my young girls so I was really pleased! I have buttons, not Coturnix though. I want to get some ... sometime. Just don't have anymore room! I hardly have room for the ones in the brooder! lol

I'm sorry you lost your Isabelle.

As for warmer weather... we are having that!

All the way up to 109f just over a week back so I'll be waiting a little till while till the worst of the heat is over before ordering any eggs.
I'll probably look at getting the Quail eggs in a month or two... Oh my!!! Quail for Easter!!! Why didn't I think of that earlier!

Well... I am blind or it was hiding. I looked couldn't see them but I've found them now.

We can sort out shipping if I win them, I have to pay that where ever they come from and I'd rather buy from a fellow BYCer.

Don't worry about it, don't forget mama gets of the nest every day to eat and drink. Just don't leave it open too long. Might try candling fjust a few eggs each time you turn.

The bob whites and all are very skittish. The coturnix are the least skittish, but you do have to spend time with them or they will be just as bad. Mine will jump on my hand looking for a treat if I have been messing with them.

Hey now! I didn't tell you NO! I said I wasn't sure if I'd have enough! I wanna play too! Can I be in vicariously if everyone else takes all my eggs??????

If you can ship me some for the Easter hatch, I'll take 'em, but have no fear, I'll take Lavender Ameraucana (LF) eggs for a different hatch and smile.
Those and my Iowa Blues are the highlights of my plans for this spring.

Won't have Iowa Blues to incubate for Easter (pretty unlikely), but will be getting chicks hopefully April 5th!

I've had 3 IA blue eggs so far, it looks like she's laying one about every 3 days. I have them under lights too, so don't give up yet

I had one of those like 40...........ish years ago. I bought it from the back of a magazine and you'd get 5 or 6 quail eggs or 3 chicken eggs. They may be what some call junk, but if they work they work.

Been over a week since my pullets laid their first eggs and haven't seen anything else since. Getting a little frustrated.

Intorducing my new Game roo and my hens today or tomorrow. They usually lay non stop, but took time off with the others. I hope I get some pretty birds out of them.
