Sorry to butt in on this FABULOUS thread

Friends I need a favor... I have a customer/friend that I was intending to hatch some eggs for his son's 5th birthday and have them out to The Omelet Ranch for a mini birthday celebration!. With everything that is going on with the sewage flood in my home, I couldn't get eggs into the incubator in time. His birthday is on May 16th.

Does anyone have pure bred chicks hatching around that time, a week or two earlier is fine too, that I can purchase for this little boy.

They already have some wyandottes, ameraucana, light sussex from hatches I've done. They are the sweetest nicest family...

Well, I did a final candle last night as I was rearranging my trays (had to fit in a late birthday present of 2 dozen pheasant eggs!!) I am down to 30 eggs that will go to lockdown this week out of my original 120... I've decided that the two local sources of eggs I used for the Easter hatch are not going to be used in the future.. just horrible fertility... close to 50% were infertile and most of the rest didn't make it 1/2 way.. hopefully these that are left will all hatch..

It's raining here today and chilly but at least it's not snowing!! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter week and a great hatch!!

I did a badbad thing:


I was upset about my tom dying, and ordered turkey eggs...more turkey eggs, actually. I am on a waiting list for some that should ship next week.

Anywhoo. The eggies came, and I set 9 turkey eggs, 5 of which are from Bargain.
