Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I am soooo happy right now

One of the babies has been having a problem standing since hatch. She lays on her side most of the time and when I try to sit her up, she falls backwards. She was the first one out and was not thriving like the others. I thought I was going to have to cull her. My daughter was sitting with her most of the afternoon after I told her not to get to close to this one.
I went down to check on them and she is standing up on her own and pecking at food I crushed and sprinkled on the paper towel

She took some poly-vi-sol mixed with water from a dropper on her own, she was pecking at the dropper !! Not out of the woods, but definately hopeful

Probably been answered already, but it's probably part of the yolk sac, I'd try and isolate it in the brooder, put a semi wet paper towel in a coffee cup and stick it in the coffee cup in the brooder so the other chicks can't get to it, it will continue to absorb and and fluff up.

Chickie Mamma: The one with the naked neck on the lower part of the photo is too cute for you and must be sent to me right away!

No movement. I just want this one egg to hatch...just one. But some of you have late pippers so I'm holding on to hope. But I will do the float test later tonight.
