Anyway, I'm not too greatly excited lately. . . With my await on stocking up eggs to hatch for the next February round, I got TWO eggs today. TWO!!!

Do you know how many girls I have of laying age? Over 30!!

I knew I should have bought eggs instead of buying a gift for friend's daughter's baby shower tomorrow!

OMG 30 are laying age? How many chickens do you have???

I thought that was a lot until I just tried to count ours that are at laying age

I think we have about that many that are laying age....our layers are down to 3 eggs a day, few others old enough to lay but not started yet, silkies quit laying - all but one anyway...UGH!

According to my blog, I have around 80 chickens. According to my count last night while they were asleep, I have around 70.

DH has to go with me if I go to someone's house to look at chickens. Then I can show him what I like, if he likes it, too, then I get eggs! That is how I have Blue & Black Marans eggs in the bator now

Luckily he has not mentioned selling any........but I did let him know some were going to have to go to the farm for layers!

The ONLY reason he has said no more for our coop is because he knows he needs to build the hen house bigger. And he is that kind of a guy. The hen house WILL be bigger, just not today. He loves these birds just as much as I do. He cracks me up!

If I send them to the farm, they can get in pasture & live in barn

No need to build bigger pens/houses

Just gotta figure out how to keep separated

or keep them here & build more houses
