I told H2B that I was researching Icelandics and they are rare and coming back from the brink of extinction. His response... "How big of a hen house do I need to make?"

We are having our housewarming/engagement/Super Bowl party tomorrow and you're all invited.

I can't wait to see this years Budweiser Clydesdale commercial.

And I'm sure the game will be ok too.

Don't worry about getting a car, we'll pick you up. I'd hate it if you were to busy driving to admire the scenery

Does he do farm work? If so, sounds like a fair deal to me.

I could use a useful man around the farm...

I have to admit, even though my DH is a keeper, he is terrible at barn chores. I love him dearly for trying (he did the afternoon chores for me two times last week) but my goodness the amount of extra work I had to do because he doesn't have the same "eye for detail" as I do makes it not worth asking him to do it. Don't get me wrong, I thanked him for doing them and grumbled to myself while I was doing the extra work (where he couldn't hear me). I know he cares about the animals and no one went hungry, but my version of "clean" and his version are not the same.

On the good side, he lets me go nuts with the chickens and is a little nutty about the chickens himself so yeah, he is a keeper!
lol.png

ETA - I forgot to add, I was so excited yesterday, we had six for six eggs! (Yeah I have seven pullets but my splash AM is refusing to lay yet) I count that as a "perfect score!"

My BF claims I can have what I want, as long as it doesn't live in the house. Well lets see....in the house right now, 12 dogs, 6 cats, 31 chicks, 5 ducks , 1 guinea pig, 2 turtles and 3 birds.
