love it we are building a bigger coop in the next month or two so that means i get to add to my chicken math lol

Just doing a quick check in... Just had a pretty decent hatch.. I had 46 go into lockdown and 38 hatched.. Unfortunately, I had to cull one and another died overnight.. On day 21, I realized my temp had shot up to between 104 and 106 (my 12 yr old son decided to mess with the bator. Says he turned it up but then turned it right back down... The on day 22, he decided to OPEN the bator and I had chicks getting stuck!!

) I probably would have gotten a few more than I did if he hadn't had messed with it...

I just set 72 more eggs... I am using a turner that a friend of mine gave me with an LG that I will be using as a hatcher.. Unfortunately, 12 of those eggs are from a guy that's been buying my chicks and I don't expect any of them to hatch.. Out of the entire dozen, 4 were cracked, 2 had large air cells that looked like they had been playing toss with them (not quite as bad as shipped eggs).. The other 6 looked ok but I guess we will see... I went ahead and put wax on the ones that were cracked but it wouldn't surprise me if I don't get anything out of them... But hey, they were free! LOL... The guy showed up a few days ago, gave me the eggs and said, "See what you can hatch from these!"...

In a week, I will go ahead and check them, pull the clears and bloodrings and replace them with my last batch before the easter hatch is set!! I need all the money I can get so I can get my lav orp eggs for the Easter Hatch!!!!

I'm up to 1BM, 2 FBCMs, 2 Barneys, ! Mottled Jave and I have 2 more Bareys pipped. Nothing from my TJ eggs or the Wellies. Also locked down 8 bantam Wellies and the next hatch is the 11th followed by the 19th.

I have two mostly Boar buck kids (to be weathered). Soon getting a milking doe or two, hopefully Nubians.

These two adorable girls are purebred Tennessee Fainting Goats also called Myotonic Goats. Sorry it took me so long to answer. I can't keep up with this thread!~
