Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

well the 23rd chick to hatch is doing great when she was born she was sticky so we let her rest now the funny part 6 hrs after birth we noticed that her fluff was dry but stuck to her body so the first time in my life i gave a chicken a bath i just used warm water and made sure that it did not get in her nosterals the kids thought we were hurting her because she was cherping her head off i am going to give her time to rest then i will geta warm towel and hold her to make her feel better DH thinks i am crazy

Just wanted to share my pre easter practice chicks!

OK someone with half a brain needs to come fix my Sportman. I have 12 Bev Davis FBCMs from shipped eggs and 4 more from my BD flock, plus 5 more from my Prestley/Valentine flock, plus some AM x Games. I have fill bators and a hatch date for tomorrow. I have another hatch due the 11th. I think I've gotten carried away. Not to mention I have 4 new brooders set up now, because I've been a hatching full.

I need support group!
I have 2 styro bators - they hold about a total of 90 eggs combined. I am pricing a new Brinsea. May I be in the support group too? Please?

I have 2 LGs going. Need to look for a couple of them I made with my husband to start using as hatchers again. I have this huge Sportman just sitting here and I can't get my hands to function to fix it.

Just looked at some things from my studio and then my hands. I'm so sad. Probably won't be able to do much for much longer.

For a second I thought this post was directed at me............................ but realized there must be another with a half a brain that lives closer to you.

Just a question/suggestion: If you sell the Sportsman you couldn't you buy an easy-to-maintain Brinsea?

See Kathy, you're going to end up with more than if I had hatched them for you! That "hands off the incubator" approach is great isn't it?!?! LOL. Go chickies!!!!!!! I have some due tomorrow! Hoping for decent weather so I can take pics.

I have hatched 11 chicks so far. I had only 2 eggs from your Pen A (pure Lavenders), and those are the only 2 Lavenders so far. None from Pen B or Pen C have hatched out lavender. I still have 2 more pips that I see.

............................ and Ihope they hatch lav!

You guys have been BUSY!

Congrats on all of the hatched chicks, they are beautiful. It hasn't taken me this long to catch up in quite some time.
