I just talked to my Dad. Step sister is there with him. His wife is away on vacation in Mexico (he was not this sick when she left). She is going to be so worried, I feel horrible for her, but she is flying home Sunday anyway. He was very dehydrated, does not have pneumonia, but they don't know much more than that right now.

Great news!!! I just went down to take one last look at the Cuckoo Marans eggs that the hen got off of @ 19 days and the temps dropped to about 35 degrees.

Was ready to give up hope and ready to throw out the eggs.

When I looked in the bator, there was a FUZZY BUTT.

Just goes to show that the miracle of life can endure a lot. For those whose temps drop a few degrees don't worry these eggs got all the way down to 35 degrees before I found them.

So I have had 1 hatch and hear at least 2 more peeping.

No pips yet but never seen any on the one that hatched either.

I was thinking of doing that. But my youngest DD wants to start showing, and these are some great girls with big fat butts. I don't want to ruin that. They are young too and Just getting going.

Well we spent most of the day in the car driving out to LA to get my boy. He looks FANTASTIC!!!

He is out with his brother visiting friends. So great to have him home.

On a down note. Shortly after we got home I got a call from my sister that my Dad is being rushed by amublance to the hospital. He has been incredibly sick with the flu. I am waiting for more news now. I am so worried. Please pray.

I will be praying for him and your family. Congrats on your son's homecoming.
