I'm in Casa Grande. We first moved here 9 years ago. We moved back almost 2 and while its grown a lot, not much has changed. We still have that grocery store down town that's like taking 10 steps back in town, the little taco joint across from the high school (not a school anymore). We finally have a movie theater that has padded seats, real step up from metal folding chairs. lol. But I love it here. I don't have a neighbors for 1 mile radius. But, my closest is a dairy farm....mmmmm....
cow smell, gotta love it
At least they can't complain of the chicken smell!!
No neighbors for a mile sounds really nice!
I'm sure I'd enjoy not having neighbors most of the time, but I enjoy living in town, too- having the chickens out on the farm and a home flock at the house is really nice. If only it was MY farm and I could go back and forth to live!
I went to Cottonwood Elementary 30 years ago, and I remember getting Long Johns at Bashas' everytime I went with Mom to the grocery store. I will never have refritos that taste as good as those at Lil Sombrero, because memory is cruel that way. I still remember the address: 851 Palm Park Blvd. We'd walk a long ways to get to Circle K and buy Pop Rocks...man, the 70s were just in Arizona for me, so that's how my memory categorizes. The 80's were full of Kansas! The 90s were New York, traveling, babies...weird that way.
It's a gorgeous Spring day here- hope everyone has a great day!
Edited for an apostrophe catastrophe.
