Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

Ahhh... now that I see you're wanting them for the Easter Hatch, I'll see if I can find you some more in the morning before I mail.....hope you have great luck with them. I have issues hatching ducks, lol. And if you're curious, I didnt mention in the post, but these ducks are all from Holderreads Waterfowl farm, I bought them last spring.

I also think I know what I will be hatching for this. I am getting some of SteveH's cornish project birds, and hopefully, a dozen white Ameraucanas he's getting for me. I'll also be sticking in some of my Blue Wheaton Am roo over easter egger.... just for fun.

God willing, you are getting the doz white Ameraucana; I agreed to buy every egg she produced from her whites, plus blue/blacks, today through next Thursday, then drive the nearly 200 miles to meet this side of Chicago, and pick up the eggs plus 4 adult white Ameraucana. [I'm getting the white cockeral that won the show in IA last year, and 3 hens for him

ETA: ........................ and that's not saying you're not getting the Cornish; just in case you're getting paranoid 'cause I didn't mention them

Got my Dickey Incubator yesterday.

I set it up last night and started it up this morning, after a call to Mr. Dickey, I needed help figuring out the therostats. All is well so far. I will let it run over night and set some eggs tomorrow.

I am also expecting tomorrow LF Blue Cochin, bantam Cochin & Serama eggs from pamperpoulrty tomorrow.

So I will be starting these a week ahead of the Easter Hatch, but I am already collecting egg from my girls plus I may go pick up some pretty white Silkie & Sizzle egg locally. (please note: Proberly means I will )

Had to go all the way to page 3 to find the thread. Usually it is on the first page in the top 10.

Just wondered where every was at.

Happy hatching everyone

SCG those look awesome.

I just wish I had the talent to do something like that. Heck I do good to get the eggs into the fridge or the incubator without dropping them.

Thank you. I plan on putting them in a basket with some hay in the bottom arranged like a nest for table centerpieces. That is, if I can make enough between now and then to cover my family and boyfriends family that want them. I really enjoyed doing the Christmas ornaments more though:

And talent? HAHA. No, not at all. Honestly I'm one of those math/science geeks that can't even draw a stick person. These are rub on transfers. Come see us over at
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=160244 for the secret(s). Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. Hopefully the above pictures inspires SOMEONE to come on over...

Just think of it this way... it's a way for us chicken/hatch-aholics to put eggs to a non-chicken math outlet.
