I set my eggs today! (I'm cheating on the dates). 20 assorted eggs. EE roo, and 9 welsummer eggs, as I hope to get some olive eggers.

This is my first hatch. Very excited!

You don't want any to look like that one; it was clean-faced. Could pass more for an orpington than an ameraucana.

. Your DD with the chicks is a beautiful picture. If you haven't considered doing photography as a buisness, I think you should. You really do take great pictures!

I love it.....and yes, my neighbor and very good friend says the same thing. She went to a big venue around here lately where there were many booths with "country lifestyle" photos on display. She said mine were better than many done by "professionals." I wish I had the equipment, training, and time. It would be a very rewarding profession, I would imagine. I like kid and animal shots where the subject isn't paying attention to you and they capture real, natural moments. I have some pretty horse pics from back in the day...dog stuff, too....
