I put 8 Cuckoo Marans eggs under a broody three weeks ago and they started hatching today. 4 so far.

Just one problem. I think the hen took the eggs to the beauty shop and had them bleached. When I lifted her up there was blue eggs and yellow chicks.

I told the broody that "I would not support her beauty shop visits."

I was positive I put Cuckoo Marans under her, but I have so many eggs going, I guess I just got confused.

52 eggs into lockdown tonight, should have been last night but was trying to get the hatchers stabilized.

My wife is starting to get a little peeved at me, she told me last night that the house could be falling down, and I would not do a thing unless there was a chance of a chicken being trapped by the house falling.
