I dont have any coming for Easter mine are due the 14th but I donated some eggs to a school in our town that I have to go this morning to talk to the kids ( i'm excited) theirs are due the 28th she is setting them today. Most fo these kids have never seen a chicken except on TV so I am taking a couple of my bantams in. The teacher told me that all but 1 didnt even know there was different colors of eggs. They thought all eggs were white.

Ok, I told dad that he was NOT ALLOWED to buy anymore chicks. WE ARE OVER MAXED OUT.

This morning I went by the post office and picked up 30 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and 5 Rhode Island Reds
Already have 20 RIR and 20 Barred Rocks from last week, and 20 male red sex-links.
Also have 7 French Black Copper Marans and 5 Easter Eggers that hatched 4 weeks ago.
31 of several different breeds and 19 more in hatch mode now.
69 eggs that are supposed to go into lockdown tommorrow
81 eggs that go into lockdown on Tuesday

Yesterday he went to the feed store and came back with 30 Faverolles (or at least thats what they are supposed to be).
He called me and I told him he could get 10 but they made him a deal so would up with 30.

I am going to have to fence the whole backyard just to hold the chicks.

OHHH, I almost forgot, I have 10 hens that are missing. Have a feeling they are in the woods sitting on nest.
Watch out for broodies, once 1 starts no one wants to be left out.

Looks like I am going to have huge sale as soon as I figure out witch ones I am keeping.

I woke up this morning to at least 5 pips in the incubator. I am not sure what they are---Cammy (Elite Silkies) sent them to me. I should go find that PM, huh?​

OK...i blamed the sellers, but its probably my fault. I usually have 2 thermometers in the incubator, but they both always read the same, so I put one in the brooder and one in the incubator. Ones digital and ones regular. WEll, since my eggs don't seem to be developing, I threw the other thermometer in my incubator with the digital...apparently my digital is reading wrong. Like very wrong. Its saying 100-101 on the floor (which it always was during my other hatches). My other thermomter sits on top of the digital thermometer and usually reads 101...well I put it in last night and its only reading 97...and that would be for the upper portion of the eggs. Its a still air LG. Did I ruin my whole hatch? Why would my digital thermometer read wrong all of the sudden!!
