My hatch rate was 13/17 at lockdown, which makes .76.

The dyed chicks are really cute. I was going to try it, but had no time to get it done.

I have a bunch of crazed Marans and a Broody Game hen I'm dealing with now too.

I'm lost in here. Not way I have time to keep up, so do with have a winner (guess that's what they would be) who is getting the hatching eggs yet?

I just want to make sure I don't throw eggs in a bator when I need to ship.

I'm still fighting to breathe, so I'll update quickly: tossed 22 eggs, had 2 that pipped and passed, and one that is half out and not very animated- may not make it. I can't remember how many made it to confinement, but I'll go back and look at some point.

Have a lot of chicks! Tons under the broodies, though they each had one pass half-hatched. The Chante squashed hers in the shell, and that was tragic- it was the only Chante, too.

I'm going to start a poll for the Flapper Contest- I'm terribly sorry I didn't get it going previously- blame it on the chest cold.
