Looks like we have 3 that hatched 0%.

I don't know how the folks that are donating eggs want to do it.

If it were me, the two the set the most eggs would be the 'biggest losers'.....

and since we set a minimum of 20 for best hatch rate, those two would be right in line for the 'awards' in my opinion...

But I defer to those who were running the contest...

Hmmm... My hatch rate calculates at 3.57% which is terrible... unless you take into account that I had 100% of my fertile eggs hatch, exactly one chick.

Still it's a girl which is nice.

I apparently didn't pull the Wellie roo out in time and I have a Wellie x Dorking sexlink.

Hi all!

Just checking in. My new fuzzies are doing great and running around like crazy, so far all that hatched are healthy and cute. I did the unthinkable yesteday.......I cleaned my incubator, sanitized it and.........put it away!

I am promising myself that I am done hatching until I can hatch my own eggs from all the babies I hatched since NYD. I have 5 different batches of chicks growing out and then I can pick the best and rehome the rest. My desk looks so empty and lonely without the incubator.

I would agree with Mahonri and award the original prize to the person who set (and lost) the largest number of eggs and for those of us offering a second 6 pack, award those to the runner up.

I can ship out tomorrow if we get addresses in time. However, I wasn't the original person offering up the prize, so I defer to the wishes of the rest of y'all.

I've got 9 or 10 for each group. 1st person would need to tell me if they prefer Marans (cuckoo b/b/s) or Easter Egger (olive egger project) from Ameraucana x Marans (chicks cuckoo b/b/s) or a mix of both. 2nd person would get the other half of the eggs.

Updated hatch results as of this morning (still have 19 eggs in the bator with at least 1/2 of them pipping)

1 more Buckeye out
5 more Wellsummers out
3 more white silkies out
3 more buff silkies out
1 more partridge silkie out
4 more blue silkies out.
So that is 17 more out!

A grand total of 88 out and at least 8 is more pips in the bator...

I left one little silkie in the bator it has a very crossed beak... If anyone wants it for free lmk, if not it will likely be culled.

29 of 34 chicks went to their new home yesterday. 5 eggs left to hatch yet. No pips,but one has been rocking and peeping since yesterday aft.

my 1 d'uccle and 2 silkies from this hatch...sadly I sat 26 eggs
