I now have one lonely hen not either sitting or with chicks, how can I stop her getting the sit-down-bug too? I still have no idea what to do with the two in the coop - one is sitting on straw and one is either still laying or letting the lone hen lay in her nest. So, from six adult hens, I have five out of action, this is NOT funny. I am going to have to BUY eggs this week, I cannot believe it.

I don't know if I am in the running for the first chick hatched from the set but I do have proof (well a picture of the time on the computer screen) that I had a poult hatched at a little after three on Thursday. I think someone might have hatched before me but I am going to be honest and say I am way too lazy to go back and check. If I need to post the pictures let me know. Laree, have you gotten your prize yet?

My own first to hatch: Goslings set 22nd March (as per timing on page #1) first hatched late Monday 18th. Also ducks set same day, most hatched Sunday 17th, but were less early if you know what I mean.
