It wasn't great, but I have 4 fuzzies and a crusty. [The crusty chick is OK, but was seriously gooey and stuck in the membane]
I had to be gone a few hours, and came home to one partially zipped but stuck; the still air incubator had spiked to 102.8 due to the room temp going to 87 in the dead air corner where the bators sit. I had closed the door to that room to keep the cool air in, but had not turned the window air conditioner low enough to handle the near 90 outside temps added to the two bators running in a corner. [The forced air bator sitting right next to it held its temps OK.]
One chick pipped at the wrong end and was dead when when I got home, one was an early quitter and barely recognizable as a chick, and four died without pipping or absorbing the yolks.
I have 14 more going to lockdown today. I've added a thermostat that will not let the wafer turn on if the bator is over 100 at mid-egg level, and running the air conditioner cooler.
