Thank you, dsqard, for stepping up and filling this obvious need. We now only have to hit the "Search this thread" button up there above the first post on a page, type in the word "Cliff" and we can find a summary of recent posts. Actually, couldn't anyone that reads most of the threads type up a Cliffs Notes version? I don't know ... but it would be helpful on busy days.
Wait ... dsqard, you do realize that you forgot to give the Literary Criticism and Analysis of the recent posts.![]()
My internet service went down. . .. .and I missed 300 posts! . THat's 30 pages!!!
Incubator temps started rising. Hope I did n't cook them. I feel like throwing them all out and starting again. We are having crazy weather: 60-70's during the day and drop to the low40's at night. Not normal for here. Messes with my LG.
Well, now that I think about it I do have another incubator!! I'll start collecting today.
Glad you're back up on the internet. I have more than once wanted to throw my styrobators out the window. After ruining at least 3 hatches that I can think of off the top of my head over the years, it goofed up its last hatch this spring. Yes, I am tempted to make a cooler out of my recently retired styrobator. (just a little joke)

When you say he was turned over to the appropriate people, I certainly hope you had dispatched him first and that he wasn't breathing.....Ok so here is the "STORY" Yesterday.... I don;t know what came over me....There was no fear, only rage intense and consuming...he WASN't EATING! he was killing indiscriminatly for pleasure, it seemed willy nilly all over! I don't have a gun except a bee bee gun so couldnt kill him... So I walked over to him and he tried to fly away and he hit the netting and fell to the ground and I was so angry I walked over to him and stepped on him. and picked him up by the feet like one of my mean old roosters! And carried him away from my babies! He was turned over to the appropriate people....
Chic, I got some heavy guage poultry netting off of Ebay to cover my run, a month ago watched a large hawk bounce off it while trying to strike my birds. There are several guages of netting, and the heavier ones are well worth the extra expense - that should keep this from happening again. They can be purchased in various sizes as well.

And I applaud you for not killing the hawk, I think she would have eaten her kill given the chance, as hawks are not random killers like skunks or weasels.
