Chick-among-us....as horrible as that all is...that picture of you holding it, barehanded and ******...is soooo awesome. Someday you'll look back and you're going to laugh and be impressed with yourself. I bet the authorities were a little scared of you. No one wants to mess with a ****** off chicken lover who's babies were slaughtered....especially when she's ****** enough to catch the hawk barehanded and hold like a really naughty roo!!!
I'm glad princess is ok and hope she gets better!!!
And after 24 hours, the Genesis is steady at 99.8. Wahoo...
The maple syrup is done for the day... whew! Now I have tomorrow to look forward to.Sounds like its going to be another 100 gallon day... ugh.![]()

Yes I would have to say she is D'Uccle she is an unrecognized color but she looks pure to me, here is my youngest girl who just started laying they do take longer then most to fully grow to there adult size. My purebred boy is still tiny is 9 months and just now crowing and doing his duty. his daddy was the same way, I would say Splenda is a Mille Fluer without the Mottling i had one named Fauna looks just like her at the same age but was killed by a stray Tom cat.REally??? a D'uccle? I thought she might have some.does she look pure to you? we didnt know and she is SUPER little...
ANd ME too about the hawks normally killing for food! AND AND to fly into a pop door (trap like) like that and just start killing instead of killing one and then feeding...I swear I could have handled THAT....hard BUT nature I coulda stood it you know? NOT this killing spree...he was trying to go on!! Thank GOD I interupted him... SEE that tree near me? looks like a head bashing tree doesnt it? I surely thought if it don't think I didn't,I am no saint.
they should be fine!is it still air?
yes it is a still air hova bator it spiked to 102 i do have eggs stacked on top of each other does this make a difference

I thought she was part Serama as soon as I saw that pic. They have a very distinctive set to the wing and tail that your little Splenda has but I am far from an expert on either of these breeds. She is very cute whatever she is!
My boys loved this ORANGE chicken!
A still air hova is supposed to be ran at 102 on top fo the fist layer of eggs. Stacked eggs in hova still may make a differnce, as the heat layers have warmer layers the higher you go, and cooler down lower. The tops may be hot, and the bottem not.
