Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Wait a minute! Have you turned your video on to run continuously? I left the window up from yesterday. These are the noises I'm hearing coming out of my computer that I think could be coming from your video: shuffling, spoon clinking in a cereal bowl, shuffling, someone opening a beer, squawking of young dinosaur, refrigerator door shutting, shuffling, dog bark, someone opening another beer, squawking of young dinosaur, barking, more metal scraping on ceramic, some snapping, sound of someone taking a bite of an apple, and more shuffling. I'm feeling a little voyeuristic. (I am not saying that you're opening beers in the morning or squawking like a dinosaur, but I am hearing sounds like that coming randomly out of my computer.) I hope you do have your video/audio playing LIVE or I've got a really odd computer virus.

The incubator is still in view, barely, but it's very dark in the room. It says LIVE up in the corner and that it's been on for 2 hours and then that it's been on for 3 hours.

Oops! I must have left the mic on! I have a blue and gold McCaw so I'm thinking that is the dinosaur you hear! The beers opening are either my wife on her early morning drinking binge or it could also be the McCaw cracking open a nut.....either one is likely! ; )

I noticed it is still dark even though it is sunny here and the window in that room has no blinds and so it should be bright in that room. I'll have to work on that. I want to get it all ready for the hatch. Thanks for the feedback!

Just candled my eggs from my swap partner...of 10 there is only 1 developing. They did have a long ride but the box wasn't busted. Looks to be alot of scrambled air sacs and two with blood rings

I hope more will surprise you at lockdown.

Candled and removed one clear and one blood ring. Of the 24 set, there are 22 left, I'm so hoping that my splash orp was more prolific in real life than it appeared when I look out the window.

I've noticed my splash roo, who is out of show stock, I won't call him show quality because for some reason he developed assymetrically - nutrition? genetic? incubation issue? If it is genetic I'll find out quite soon enough; has the most fun crowing noise ever. The crow is softer, yet deep and more trilly. Is this common in the show quality orpington stock? I dislike the harsh high pitch noises that some roosters make.

and baby pictures... I have a doozy of a cute one of my youngest son. If I find it I'll toss it up for the baby picture lovers.

Ok I FINALLY caught up. I've been busy today. The duck has started quacking.

Seeing the Peafowl makes me want some. They're so pretty. Unfortunately, I'm getting guineas so I can't have them....yet.

If they start quacking at 2-6 weeks, odds are thats its female.

It is all in the diet!!! It's all about making the effort to change the food. Dr Atkins isn't alone in recommending the low carb diet ( as in what we eat for life). I don't eat a lot of bacon, but I sure eat a lot of eggs!!!

Just had scrambled eggs with feta and fresh majorum, and OO drizzled on top. SOmetimes I add a few brine cured olives, too.

I stopped listening to the AMerican DIabetes ***** and American DIeticians recommendations 10 years ago. High carbs do not work for me.

Brain will always make sure it gets the fuel it needs. Seems to me this high carb diet is relatively new . . . did brains not work on eggs, meat, fats and more meat??? Meats break down into glucose, so the brain gets what it needs while avoiding the insulin spikes caused by high carb foods.

It's so nice to know I am not the only one.
