Kathy if you read this can you post a screen print of what I'm talking about....I tried to do it like you taught me but for some reason the pic doesn't show up!

If you are not getting emails, post on the link Kathy put in post #148. Then do what I did, go to the top of the page where you see the brown tabs, if you hold the cursor over the "Forum" , there will be a "drop down menu", at the very top of the menu you will see "Forums New Posts Hot Unanswered I've Posted" Click on the "I've Posted". A list will come up of all the threads you've posted on. There will be a little green arrow on any that have a new post since you've been there. I saved this to my Favorites Bar and just click on it when I want to go to BYC. I can tell right away which threads have new posts. This doesn't help if you "lurk" on a thread and never post on it, those don't show up....

If you go to the home page you (large brown button at the top of the screen) can see the forums that you have posted on (even if you haven't subscribed to them) and it will also show you how many new posts are on that forum since you last visited it. I just like getting the emails on a forum that I am subscribed to so I know to check it. BTW Kathy, I did post on the link that you had in your other post. This does seem to be recent and the funny thing is that, after I posted on the other link, I did get an email about a new post on that link but not new posts on this link. Hmmmmmm IDK

I like to go to "My Profile," to navigate.
The red box shows how many posts there are since I last visited that thread.



Then, I click on the + and it shows a drop down of the latest posts right here on this page! Click the - and it goes back.




I also love that we can click on these pictures and make them bigger!

Wow you guys are so helpful. I just today finally figured out how to use my subscriptions, including why I was subscribed to 175 threads

(way too much for me to be able to keep up with).

Just lined up some Am eggs from another local BYCer, the hens are possibly also exposed to a Polish roo (now wouldn't that be interesting), and am hoping to get some lemon blue/brown red bantam cochin eggs from another breeder who got some stock from me last fall just before the great bantam cochin slaughter - my only remaining birds left from all the hatching I did last summer.

On the one hand I am sooo much more productive when I'm not getting instant BYC view alerts in my email to tempt me... on the other hand, my life is boring and sad without them.

Had some "Rooster Buffalo Wings" yesterday - totally delicious. Too bad there's no way to only hatch roos.

I usually hatch out a ton of hens. Then I tried my hand at ducks. I currently have 4 boys and a girl.

Ain't never had duck before... think that's gunna change!

Goodness!... no one has wanted "IN" in 12 hours.

This group is not at chatty as last years.

At this point last year, we already had 415 posts.

Is it the new format?

Can't imagine it would be that.

Are there less folks out there who want to incubate?

I REALLY can't imagine that.

Is it because they don't realize that this hatch will eventually have way more cool prizes!?
