I agree that getting only 1 wouldn't make it worth your effort/time/cost to hatch them unless the amount of eggs was quite large and you knew the fertility was good. Is this from someone local to you?

I'm in! I'll be getting silkie and showgirl eggs(1 dozen) from cjexotic to ship on 3/14 so I can set them on the 17th. I might set some of my own eggs to but I'm not sure yet.

I should get the buff silkie eggs today or Monday and will get them set as soon as they arrive. My last hatch yielded 4 turkeys and one lone silkie.

I'm really wanting to get some blue eggs. I have a nice assortment of green, brown beige and white but I think the egg basket would be so much prettier with some blue

According to our Queen of the Countdown I only have 5 weeks to work this out.

Michelle, There are lots of blue egg BYCers out on the west coast that should be able to get eggs up to AK in a reasonable time frame. I love Illia's avatar picture of all the different egg colors....it's just beautiful!!

It is a pretty picture, quite the color spectrum of eggs. I would love that kind of variety.

We had the worst summer ever. I believe it was 6 weeks of over 100 degree weather. These birds were not even bothered by the weather. They are great!

That's the plan! I bought a second incubator and I plan to fill them both up (and hopefully empty them of chicks) before the Easter hatch.
