I was a dessert chef for 20 years. I love dessert! In fact, I love all food! I do like cooking, but only when I am not in a rush.

You guys are bad, making me think about desert. While I'm making it I just poured myself a glass of whole chocolate milk from the local dairy, too.

I baked a pound cake yesterday. I'm starting to get excited when I come across a recipe that uses 6 eggs! It wasn't that long ago that I was anxiously waiting for that first egg. I still run out to the nest box at least a dozen times a day and I still get excited with every egg. But since there are only two of us (and assorted friends/neighbors/family), a dozen eggs a day adds up. NO visitor leaves without a dozen eggs tucked under their arm. I considered giving them to the electric meter reader and the propane gas truck driver. Hmmm, fedex. UPS................

Oh they are delicious. I pick blackberries and raspberries on our property all summer and freeze them in anticipation of making these for winter. I use both cinnamon and the almond extract and mix brown and white sugar in them... mhhh.

It has begun!!!!
No eggs yet, but I'll be setting them tonight. I have "mystery" eggs (meaning they can only be one of 2 things) that need hatching and I have plenty of time before the 17th to do it. And darn it, I plan to!

I thnk maybe you should give the UPS brown eggs becaue I've seen a few UPS commercials ... they seem fixated on brown.
