OMG!!!! 219 new posts!!! I am seriously thinking about skipping 200 of them.

Just think how fast that would be if you were a Platinum. You could set your page to 100 posts per page, and whip right through them!

Thanks, notinoz2007 and Spangled. Today was certainly better, and everything always seems brighter in the morning. SCG, we're going to have deeper ditches dug as well. It sounds like we have the same driveway. VDOT came by and plowed the driveway back up and out of the road, so that will save some gravel cost.

My drive washes out at times. The run off is directed into the culverts. But even then the ditches can overflow, then the driveway is in trouble. The water picks up speed as it reaches the hill and ,yes ,1 foot gullies is the normal damage.

I didn't have the money to buy a load of gravel the last time so DH and I shoveled, well me mostly, most of the gravel back. Not perfect but passable. I'm very careful to make sure the culverts stay clear of debris. When the water is running my boys can sail boats and play in the water for days.

Really sorry about all the snow, fellow northerners. Fortunately for me, I picked the perfect time to vacation in Florida - sunny, 80's, and ohboy the fishing -



33 inch redfish - released because she was too big (slot for redfish here is 18-27")

But I do have 5 dozen eggs due for the hatch right when I come back - so there is something to look foreward to besides the weather.

Well, I have the day off, so I'm going to attempt to post photos of my first entry for the egg art contest, called "Let Me Count the Ways". Sequential numbers 1 through 556, separated by commas:

Wow! that is really good..........it must have took forever to do that.

Is anybody starting to save eggs yet? I'm thinking of starting to save some towards the end of next week.

As I was shoveling out the end of the driveay, only about the first 15 fett of 1000, to make entering safer, a car stopped and the man had cash in his hand. Despite the winter storm he stopped to buy eggs !! I'l love to have about 10 more customers like him!

I just got wowrd that the first hatching eggs I sold are in lockdown. I don't know who is more excited me or the buyer! All the eggs were looking good going into lockdown.

Since many of my eggs will be collected to send to other hatchers, I will be collecting some to keep for myself starting a week from today. I will keep them cool and turned until the 17th. The freshest eggs gathered will be the ones that get shipped out. It's getting close...................

I haven't joined the hatch along but still might. I want mine to hatch a bit before Easter tho. I plugged hi the bator tonight and getting eggs on Sunday. Will have a few goose eggs in there too. I need some babies to use in Easter pictures so I need them in advance of Easter! But I will be reading!
