I would *so* love to have a pair of emu... My back yard has 4 foot tall horse fence which could easily be extended a few feet. Can't you just imagine the squall from the gas meter reader as he slowly turns to look at a bird as tall as he is, that sounds like a conga band and looks like something from "Land of the Lost!

I would love to see that.

On a side note, so far it looks like the remainder of my shipped eggs will be here tomorrow and Wednesday. Guess I'm setting early. The only other eggs I have lined up will not be here until late Saturday or early Sunday. GRRRRRRR

Not this baby? I knew I should have given you some chicks for her.

Yes...I had this happen with my other pea long ago- he recognized his chick family, and when they moved on and he stayed in, he didn't bond to the new chicks as easily as chicks do. This little one knew my chicks weren't her 'family.' She's fine now, but it was really sad for a bit!

Well except me because I was SUPPOSED to give you my address

OK- to all getting eggs from me:

Don't open your box in your car or your house. You'll curse me if you are one of the folks getting pink packing peanuts in your box. They are very statically charged and will immediately paste themselves to all surfaces in your environment. Heed my warning.

Ok, I'm off to bed after I finish watching Lord of the Rings The Two Towers forthe millionth time. You think I'd stop watching it once I know every line in all 3 movies. Nope. I just say what they're going to before they say it. I can mute the movie and keep up with them too. Ugh, I never realize how much of a nerd I am till I wrote that.
