I may have been a wee bit enthusiastic ordering eggs and now have 78 waiting to go in the incubator tomorrow.

I tried to explain to my knitting group that it really isn't excessive, cause half (39) won't hatch and half of those (20) will be roos that I won't keep, so it's really like settting 19 eggs.

You all understand, right?

Yes, we surely do understand. I've been trying to explain this very thing to my husband all week. "You're ordering another box of eggs? How many is that?" "Not enough! I still need..."

Remember how I said I was suppose to be hanging out with a friend of mine tonight? Here we are, hours later and he never showed up. Fantastic. I just lost a lot of faith in him. Yeah, sure. He'll try to make it up to me with things that involve more chickens, but I'm not holding my breath.

On the other hand, I'm really excited about tomorrow. My neighbor will be bringing his eggs over (I hope) and I'll get to hatch a bunch of different colors!

So after 3 hours of sleep a night for 2 weeks, I passed out with the kids today for 3.5 hours. I feel better than I have in weeks, BUT didn't get to homedepot to fix the bator. Which is fine. I'll use the LG tomorrow and when I get the rest of the eggs tomorrow and let them sit overnight, I should have that bator up and running tomorrow evening.

Picked up 14 Delaware eggs this evening locally and will set some of my own eggs.. No idea how many or what until tomorrow.

Already set New Hampshire, Molted Cochin, Showgirls, Partridge Chantecler and Porcelain D'Uccles today. So they will be a day ahead. I was way too inpatient to wait on these.
