You guys are funny. But, I have one bator which went into action on the 8th so I'll be ahead of Easter. My sister-in-law already comes over to feed the Yorkies and let them out so now she'll have the additional duty of feeding and watering chicks (I've promised her fresh eggs later this summer). Hope you all have a good hatch Easter weekend. I'm not overly confident with mine as my very first time and all eggs came by mail so I'm already counting my losses, but keeping my fingers crossed.

OMG how am I going to explain this to DH?

The way we all explain it to our spouses. "Well only half of those are going to hatch and half of those are roos that we won't keep so it only adds 16 girls to the flock!!! Chicken math for spouses.....

ok got my temp up finally put eggs in it droped to 90 since i had 105 to put in and now its not comming back up i have never had so much truble with temps before and its driving me crazy i have 45 chicks asked for already hate to ruin the eggs and not be able to give the people the chicks they want

Wisher1000- I also set pullet eggs from my girls. They have been laying for a few weeks and I have seen the roos "paying" attention to them so
