I love the candler, Deb. in fact, we're kind of poking around the house seeing if there is some insulation we can strip off a pipe!

SCG, get out and enjoy the weather for me! There are conferences at school, and I have to stay until 5, 6:30, and 6:30 the next 3 days. Not that anyone has ever come to see the art teacher, but I should be able to get caught up on projects.

awwwww WOW ya'll are saying the NICEST things I am honored by every comment and surprisingly there are so many! thank you to every single person who has said such nice nice things I love you all!! collectively...and honeslty can REALLY use that right now....when I get my nerve up I will tell you all what has happened but can't seem to talk about it right now with out crying. just so ya dont worry as we all do on here its a predator issue and we feel violated ESPECIALLY since EVERYTHING we do is geared to predator protection...I will tell ya the story just let me catch up on five hundred posts while I nurse this miserable week old dang migraine and mentally brace myself! Mahonri I hope YOUR pain is better!

I'm under that thing and last I looked it was headed practically due north, so I'm going to be under it for a while. Kathy, I feel your pain. The worst part is, the chickens are in an area that floods really easily and stay about 1 1/2" deep while the rest of the water washes off the hill and into the creeks...so despite all of the emptied bags of leaves in all of the runs, it's SOGGY.

I'm very sorry about whatever happened. I know it's a terrible thing to have to deal with that sort of attack by predators.

Regarding the headache: Go get some fresh ginger. Take a piece the size of the first part of your thumb (about an inch cube) and peel it with a paring knife. Use more if you don't mind the taste of fresh ginger. Cut it into matchsticks. Put it into a mug and pour boiling water over it, then let it sit for at least 5 minutes, giving it a stir once in a while.

Now, add honey and a bit of milk (or something like that) and down it. It helps my migraines in short order. I use a lot more ginger for quick action, but I love the stuff...some folks thinkit's too spicy.

WOOO HOOO ! I am home from work and am still able to get online. The rain has slowed down a bit, at least for now. Still got a couple days more of it in the forecast.

Gawd, I hate muddy muck. Worse than that, I hate muddy dirty eggs.

Think I will be staying inside today. I will have to get a little sleep after while, but until then, I am gonna go play with the emu kids.
