And those of you that do scramble the eggs for the chickens do you also do it with the early quitters?
my 6 and 10 year olds are also morbid i suppose. when i broke the news that we would be processing 4 roos they started fighting over who gets to eat the biggest legs.My husband has as alarm on his phone thats a rooster crowing loudly and quickly over and over...so I had this dream that it was going off and he was late to work. I popped awake and half asleep thought, oh no! his alarm is broken. It sounds funny. Then I realized one of my 3 pullets was crowing. Guess one is not a pullet after all.I had posted pics about a month ago and everyone definitely thought they were definitely pullets. I am not allowed roosters and DD wants to eat it! Ahhhh!!! I can't kill anything...I want to be a farmer and can't kill it. How do you guys do it? But...it was such a quiet crow. Instead of the loud, lusty UR,UR,UR,UR, URRRRRR! That I'd always heard it was. It was more like...imagine George Takei voice saying Oh,Oh,Oh, Oh, ohhhhhhhhh. It wasn't loud..and to be honest the only way to describe it is to liken it to what a Gay rooster might sound like. Is that normal? Cuz...I think I can get away with having a quiet gay rooster...I doubt anyone would hear it. Even though DD has her heart set on it. She also wants to feed the 'dead chickies' meaning the clear and quit eggs to dog. Is it normal for a 4 year old to be so morbid? Or am I just a wimp? And those of you that do scramble the eggs for the chickens do you also do it with the early quitters?![]()
Well, if human babies are being shown off..I have one of a grandson that we call the miracle baby, coming too early, growing slowly but surely, and was starting to really interact and notice people in this picture of him and myself. What a sweetheart! At our daughter's home, he couldn't go anywhere for a while.![]()
