Do you have Diabetes Arielle?
.
I've been testing kind of positive for it. Borderline I believe they call it
. I think it is why I have trouble keeping my weight up to a good level. I need to find a diet I can eat that will put some weight on me with out adding sugar
. Sometimes when I am doing a lot of hard "Yard Chores" My weight will really drop down and then I'll use a lot of sugary things to get the calories to get it back up
Did you have the 8 hour glucose test done??? Very often just a lifetime of eating the typical AMerican diet is the road to diabetes. It has 4-5 stages. Sugar is bad, bad, bad. Along with the refined carbohydrates that masquerade as our food. LOL Skip the sugar to put weight on. Sugar causes the insulin spike that lead to diabetes and arthrosclerosis and high blood pressure. Many foods cause sugar spikes which causes insulin spikes for many people.
Melissa Rose, you just need more calories, plain and simple, to do all the hard work! Eat more good food, like steak, green vegie salad, a potato, brown rice. I love the sweet stuff, I;m a carbo addict, and I used to make homemade bread. If I start to eat these things I cannot stop until it is gone. All gone. So my best bet is to not eat it and there fore prevent the craving for more and the swing in blood sugars which make me eat more. THis doesn't happen if I stick to eggs, steak, fish, green leafy lettuce, green beans, greek yogurt and the like.
