Final candling tonight, pulled another 15 eggs to leave me with 61 out of the original 92. Better than I expected, considering 89 were shipped. Found a slightly cracked one while candling, it was just starting to stink - ugh.

I wasn't going to candle until tomorrow BUT... one of the Icelandics in the Hovabator had PIPPED! On day 17!

Every egg in the Brinsea that was there at first candle remains. All 10 that were bad were in the hovabator... Also the one pipped egg, an Icelandic from the Audin was in the Hovabator.

I'm guessing that my temps were too high... the air cells were pretty huge.


So I'll be lucky if I hatch 20. Just enough to put under my broody!
