Almost too late but here they are: I had 16 out of 51 eggs set hatch. 3 clears, 2 hatched and then died, the rest developed part way then died in the shell don't know why?
Here are the 2 chicks my broody hatched.

Here are the other 13 chicks and 1 duckling. one chick is hiding under the grey one. you can just see it's head sticking out.

Which one is the duck? J/K! So cute mixed in there with those pretty different colors of chicks. I love those little beaks and feet on the ducks. Soo cute.

Lovin' the cute chickies!

Needed a fast birthday present for a 7 year old boy... He got 3 chicks! Yes, I called his mother and made sure it was acceptable and that they had a source of heat, etc, etc. Plus he is in the 4-H poultry project, so all is good.

Then a friend said she would like 10 chicks... she will trade 10 chicks for 2 bunnies, and my son wants a rabbit, so that sounds like a most excellent deal.

Which will leave me 4 chicks.

When is the next hatch along?
