I should go out and take a pic of all the people peering into my hovabator... it's like it's grand central station.

Your anxiety is raising mine!!! I am feeling semi-responsible for your dry incubation so don't let me down!!!! Gee I think I see another gray hair.

1:40PM update:
HATCHED!- Pip #1... FBCM (shipped/1588)at about 6:00AM... starting to zip 12:51PM... halfway zipped at 1:15PM, Hatched at 1:30PM . This one HAS to be a cockeral, "Pierre"

Both feet looked deformed... toes curled... anything I can do for that? He's running around the bator like a crazy roo!

HATCHED!- Pip #2... FBCM (shipped/1588) at about 6:30AM... zipping. First to hatch at Noon, just starting day 21. ... name changed to "Pierina"

Top popped of, but still sitting in the egg.

Pip #3... BW/BW (coop#1/1588)at about 12:10PM... nice pip! We have a 25% chance of a splash with this one!

Pip #4!... BW/BW (coop#1/1588) at about 1:10PM... bigger pip than #3--- they are right next to each other and next to Pierina.

Nothing in the Brinsea. Holding steady at 99.6 degrees and 65% humidity... I figure I got 24 hours there.

43 left to pip!

Oh and just to add another grey hair Germaine... YOU are the reason I did a dry hatch!!!

Germaine I'll share that responsibility and stress for mahonri's dry hatch! I still think the humidity is as important during incubation as it is at hatch time. Really there shouldn't be any watery fluid in the egg at hatch. When there is thats what causes them to drown or have sticky wet chicks and I still think its a result of too high humidity DURING incubation. jmho. The high humidity at hatch time is to keep the membrane soft and lubed so they can turn to zip so I don't believe high humidity at hatch would have anything to do with drowning them. Again jmho.

Hang in there Mahonri!
