Contact hatchery right away or they will tell you it is because you didn't pick them up!
look at the hatchery I told you about....

Wish I had more to offer you and it is very heartbreaking too! Be sure the post office gives you some type of written form that they have all died...

I agree with @17 chickens, be sure to contact the hatchery. I am so sorry that this happened to you I had really good service and a successful delivery through MyPetChicken.com, and know several other people who have said the same. Good luck

Wow post office called they got here in less than 2 days and they are gonna let me pick them up even though they are closed

Yep, that's exactly the experience I've had in the past. The tracking says they're half a country and two days away, and then I get a call that they're at my local post office.

Edit to add: Oh no! I read further in the thread and ... that's awful!

So sorry! It's hard to manage chicks shipped during bad weather; I don't want to get chicks in the mail until at least April, and then I still worry a lot.

I can't believe Cackle was willing to ship a small order to Montana in February! That seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I'd ask for a reship but in late spring.

I called them this morning they said they have lots of orders up here right now and all are good and they are reshipping my order today
I figured they had this stuff all figured out I hope these chicks don't get the same results
They really did talk about how it's the post office fault and didn't even want to consider anything on there end
