What is the longest amount of time that chicks can survive in the mail?

So far I have 5 RIR pullets that got rerouted and have been in the mail for 47 hours~.

I called the post office and the guy said he may get them by 10:00 tomorrow and he will call me if he does. [IMG]

I'm just a tad nervous since they have been delayed and this is my first time ordering live chicks (I did order hatchable eggs, my first time, a month ago). [IMG]

I would make sure you have fresh water and starter feed when you get them. GroGel PlusB if you have some on hand. They can live several days without food/water during their long journey.
