Good questions......

I just sent off an email to Cindy from the State. She had told me they needed to send her the testing proof - she did not tell me that it needed to be with in 30 days. I am waiting for an answer to that.

I know that when she issues you a permit# to sell in NH THAT is good for 30 days.

Let's see what she says.

As I understand it anything under 4 mos does not need testing.

Quote: That is true. Only 20+ weeks needs to be tested. OR you have to prove they came from a tested flock under 20 weeks. The question is really for out of State folks who have a test - how recent does that test need to be.

Cindy is on vacation until tomorrow - I hope to have an answer for you then.

I had heard that it's the AI test that NH requires within 30 days not the pullorum which is done yearly. in maine, we don't normally test for AI in our flocks unless going/showing in NH as NH is one of the only new england states that require it.
I understood that any birds, regardless of age do have to be tested if they have changed ownership (this was from a poultry judge)

Isn't it also true that any bird over 5 months old (or is it 4 months?) must have a leg band, even if your flock has been tested within the past year? That proof of an up to date tested flock isn't sufficient?

Cindy from NH State only said out if State people send proof of testing to her. You do not have to have NPIP out of State you have to have the 2 required tests.

Okay, just wondering because the statement below is the requirement to sell at the other NH swaps. I'm not questioning the testing part, just the must have leg band if over 5 months part. Another thread made it sound like it was a NH state requirement. I only wanted to clarify that point in case people needed to get birds tested in time for your Chickenstock.

CHICKS/CHICKENS /TURKEYS/GUINEAS ( 5 MONTHS AN OLDER)
( MUST BE NPIP TESTED )
THEY MUST HAVE BANDS ON THERE LEGS TO SELL AT ALL SWAPS
