maine chickenstock!! pictures of the event!!

Weather report says rain on Sunday. We're still coming, have stocked up enough food here for a month of Sundays, lol. I HOPE the turnout is great! If not, I'll be eating Sun Chips for awhile, lol.

mmajw, will we have electricity at all or access to buildings? I would dearly love to bring a 40 cup coffee pot to make coffee but need power for that...

I think I posted this already, but the menu has shifted slightly. We will offer blueberry muffins (blueberries are organic and will be picked off the bush in my backyard on Saturday, btw), banana nut muffins, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, homemade whoopie pies to die for, and the sandwich menu that will include wraps and subs, as well as regular bread sandwiches. We'll have meal deals and kids meals, too, that will include the sandwich, drink, and chips.

I will be bringing a donation can, yes, as well as t-shirts and hoodies with our farm name on them to sell. I am still working on the oil company gift certificate.

I hope the weather holds out and the attendance is great! This should be fun.

BTW... I would like you to see our newest horses. We are calling them Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac... this is why we do what we do...

Poor horses! I'm sure you'll have them in good shape in no time. Love the names!! By the way, been to your website and am in love with Miss Honey. If my barn hadn't collapsed she'd be living with me.

I think it'll be a great turnout.

The weather report changes everyday. Yesterday was sunny and today rain... makes you wonder if the weather people aren't just making it up as they go along...lol.

Hennyroo! Good job. Poor cuties. Looks like they are in good hands.

Okay, so my kids made some signs. I will photo copy them and put them up Sunday morning.

No I dont believe we will have power, that was one of the things that we were not allowed to have if we were not going to pay for the fairgrounds.

Free Fairgounds=No Power

thats great, they will need to be kept warm for a little longer , til they get their feathers you know? that little coop is adorable

old orchard beach is a lot of fun, we camp there at paradise park.

I hatched some Delawares this spring (they are 9 weeks old). I have more than I would like to winter, so was planning to sell some pullets this fall when they start laying (and eating the cockerels).

I'm a little reluctant to bring any to ChickenStock because we'll be making other stops along the way and don't really want to subject the chicks to a long day in a cage and the car. (Yes, I know they would be just fine.)

But, if I knew someone wanted to buy, I'd bring along a cockerel and 2-3 pullets. Anyone who is interested can contact me off-group and we can make arrangements.

Tim
