maine chickenstock!! pictures of the event!!

The showgirls coming are a really nice white rooster, she is changing out her roo as he is related to most of her other stock. 5 or so 1-2 week old chicks. A year old heterozygous partridge hen, and a couple of young pullet showgirls that just started laying.

Sorry my photography skills seem to stink this morning, but here is a photo of one of the large tote bags. I was going to make a fancier type of bag, but this fabric does not lend itself well to being cut into little pieces. I have other prints and different size bags coming too. I don't know what to heck I was thinking when I decided to make more bags this month as I have the Maine Quilt show this weekend too.

My kids are torn they really want to come with me to Chickenstock but Grammie called last night and asked them to go camping. They have decided to go camping and are upset about missing Chickenstock.
It is always nice for parents to have a break but I have a hard time sending them away for the whole weekend.

Guess thats the Mother Hen in me....

Was it decided how much the tickets for the Chinese Auction are going to be? I need to figure out how many dollars I am bringing...lol. Looks like you have a great mix of items, Spook!

I will try to explain it...
People buy tickets for a certain dollar amount and every item has a jar/hat/box in front of it to collect tickets. If you'd like that item you put a ticket in. The more tickets you have in the jar for a single item, the higher your chances are of winning that item. After all the tickets have been placed there is a drawing. One ticket for each item is picked and the person with the winning ticket gets that item.

Sorry...you're probably more confused now...lol.
