If anyone is interested in some she can bring them.

Maybe a pair of Gray Call Ducks too.

Also forgot about Wilbur. Pot Belly Pig needs a warm winter home. Very friendly guy. Once he gets to know you he will let you rub his belly. He's pretty spoiled.

I'm planning on putting the Black Australorp pullets in the freezer later this week. If anyone's seriously interested, let me know today or tomorrow and I can plan to bring them to the swap. Just to reiterate, these are young point of lay pullets, many have just started laying. They've been raised free range and are big, super healthy, glossy, and happy. I can deworm upon request, but I won't be deworming all of them b/c what doesn't sell is intended for eating.

I'll also have cull youngsters. I've been breeding a nice blue Sizzle roo with Showgirls to get frizzle feathered Showgirls. I've succeeded on getting two very nice dark skinned blue frizzled Showgirls (which I'm keeping

) and 6 rather bizarre mutts (culls) that will be fun for pets and small egg layers, but not much for eating. Some are frizzled showgirls with pink skin. Some are reverting back to the straight cochin type feathering, but have five toes and blue skin and will be Silkie sized. And some appear to be blue Sizzles like their papa. These six are free for the taking. Take one or all.

The other batch of kids include several white Showgirls that are pet quality. $5 each.

I'll trade Australorps or Showgirls for a turkey or two (any age or breed- will be for eating) or pekin ducks or ducklings (also will be for eating.)

I'd also consider buying a turkey or pekin ducks.

Please if someone knows what they might want, let me know so I'll know what to bring.

Cherokeerainbow: I'm going to try to be there first thing, no later than 11 AM. How many do you think you want?

Forgot to list price of Black Australorps- (thanks for the head's up Rabbitsrule!) Flock of six for $35, individuals $6.50. This price is reduced from September- you couldn't buy and raise them for this!

I'm only bringing 2 blackstars (if they sell I'd like at least 2 of your Aussies...)(rabbitsrule? you want them, they are very calm and quiet)

I also have a pair of cochin/blue ee crosses about 3 months old. Gorgeous birds, just no room.

Most everyone else is under 8 weeks still, so they'll have to wait till spring.

These pics taken today.

Free for the taking- 14 week (?) Sizzle/Silkie mutt- reverted back to straight feathers. I've put this big kid in another pen and it's probably going to get a little picked on, so it might be a bit more dishelveled looking by the time the weekend rolls around.

$5- white Showgirl culls. 9 weeks- Perfect feet and nice dark blue skin. Need a couple generations of Silkie breeding to improve feather.

$5- buff Silkie cockerel in the center- 10 weeks- very nice topknot but has some smuttiness in primary flights and tail. Out of a Silkie breeder in Tenn.

Cherokeerainbow reminded me of the new "nothing under 8 weeks old" rule. The young Sizzle/Frizzled Showgirl group is 6 weeks old, so too young to bring. They're still up for grabs, free, though. Just can't bring them on Saturday.
