maine swap may 21, augusta TSC

Probably a bit late to be asking, but does anyone have any spare chicken wire or hardware cloth leftover that you would sell cheap? I was getting my empty coop ready in case I bring home some adult chickens tomorrow it reminded me that I need to bury some wire under my run to finish predator proofing it.

if you don't find any on here, TSC has not very tall rolls of it conveniently in the parking lot.

Yea, but im hoping that I can get someone leftovers for less money because I'm a college student and just bought my first car this past weekend so im a little broke lol.

Is any body bringing cochins? maybe some wyandottes? Im hoping to go and find some new chicks...
Also Im wondering if any one will have hatching eggs at this swap?

I think the swap went very well. I sold out of all birds but one blue partridge silkie roo. I still have plenty that I didn't bring if anyone missed the swap and really needs chicks.
orps, rir,dottes,silkies

Thanks to the people we bought our silkies from, Hoppy and another individual. We ended up with four, shouldn't have, but since my husband found a little splash silkie he thought was "ok", I went for it:) Hahaha! They ended up riding home in my lap, in the crate of course. The big blue silkie tried to stick his head through and leaned towards the window like a dog, he even hopped up and down flapping his wings like he was flying. We loved it:lol: It took some time for them to drink (we add electrolytes), but once they did they perked right up and are scratching and pecking around like mad:) My other little girls are in their pen keeping a close eye on the new guys. (Hopefully 3 girls and one guy). Thanks again we just love them!!!

I ended up with nine all together yesterday. Mom had told me to bring home some silkie hens and laying hens, and I ended up with 6 chicks and 3 pretty young silkies all st run. I caught 2 of the silkies doing a bit of fighting like roos today, and one of them even tried picking a fight with the dominant roo when I let them explore their future run. I'm hoping its just childish games and not that they are boys......
All the chicks spent the night in my room last night. I broke my heat lamp trying to put the new bulb in so the chicks needed to be in my warm room with the heat on. I'm giving my broody till tomorrow to try to hatch out those eggs, but my guess is they were duds, so I'm going to try to get her to adopt. The silkies are kind of going to be moving around a bit as the weather varies until we get some more constant nice weather...

hopefully that nice weather will start and stay this week.
we so need it.
I got home and realized I forgot to bring one silkie with me- how I could have missed a blackish one is beyond me, it must have been hiding when I scooped them up.
so if anyone is needing 1 8 week old silkie, let me know (or I have many your ones as well)
